Nuh: On Friday morning, a speeding dumper on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Nuh, Haryana, broke through the wall of the bridge and fell into a 20-feet deep gorge. During the accident, the diesel tank of the dumper exploded, and the vehicle caught fire.
Locals tried to rescue, but both were trapped.
Nearby residents reached the spot and tried to save both, but the fire was so intense that it was impossible to pull out the driver and the helper. Both were burnt in the fire, and the helper’s body was reduced to a skeleton.
Identification of the deceased and postmortem
The police have identified the deceased as driver Ranjit (57), a resident of Alwar, Rajasthan, and helper Parvez (27), a resident of Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The bodies of both have been sent to Al Afia Hospital in Mandikhera for postmortem.

Police said that the preliminary investigation into the accident has revealed that the dumper driver fell asleep and lost control of the vehicle. Police are contacting the dumper owner and collecting complete information about the accident.

The dumper was going from Ferozepur Jhirka to Delhi. The accident took place near Gujjar Nagla village. Before the accident, the dumper lost control for about 500 meters, due to which the wall of the bridge broke and the vehicle fell into the drain.
