An auction of numbers is done several times a year

In fact, the transport department auctions VIP numbers several times a year to increase government revenue. To achieve this, the numbers are auctioned. The highest bidder is given the number. Or, a fixed amount is fixed for each number, based on which VVIP numbers are booked.

Numbers are also booked online

Sometimes, the Transport Department also conducts the VIP number auction process online. The list of all VIP numbers for the year is shared online, and booking is done through the website. The number is allotted to the last applicant and the highest bidder within the stipulated time limit. This is a year-to-year process. As the number series progresses, VIP numbers are also added.
