New Delhi: The Election Commission clarified the Bihar voter list, calling allegations of Muslim exclusions is “communal.”
The Election Commission (ECI) on Thursday described the voter list prepared under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in Bihar as “accurate,” and said that allegations of disproportionate exclusion of Muslims in the final list were “communal.”
The Election Commission clarified that the voter list prepared under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process is completely accurate and transparent. The Commission denied the allegations, saying they are completely false and politically motivated.
The Commission stated that the revision process was conducted following strict legal and administrative procedures. Despite this, some social and political organizations have raised questions and demanded fairness.
If any names were removed from the final voter list, it was due to administrative errors or absences, and not to target any particular community.
