The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested an official of the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA). The arrested official is said to be posted as a town planner at GMADA.
According to reports, the ED had called the official to Jalandhar for questioning. During the interrogation, the agency detained and arrested him. However, no official information has yet been released regarding the reason behind the arrest.
Investigation in Land-Related Case
According to sources, the official, a resident of Mohali, was being questioned in connection with a land-related matter. The ED was gathering information from him regarding documents and transactions.
Continuous ED Raids in Punjab
Recently, the ED conducted raids at several locations in Punjab and Mohali. On Wednesday, the agency also raided the premises of businessman Jatinder Sachdeva in the Green City area on Ferozepur Road in Ludhiana. Apart from this, the house of a former GMADA officer in Mohali was also searched.
