ED raids at house of another ‘Aam Aadmi Party’ leader

New Delhi : The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raided the house of another Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader in connection with the money laundering case in the alleged scam in the Delhi Excise Policy. After the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Deepak Singla is the second AAP leader whose house has been raided by the ED.

Deepak Singla is a former candidate of AAP. He contested from Vishwas Nagar on behalf of Aam Aadmi Party. Apart from this, he is also the AAP in-charge of Goa and co-in-charge of MCD. Let us tell you that earlier on March 23, ED also raided the house of Aam Aadmi Party MLA Gulab Singh Yadav from Matyala.

ED had claimed in the PMLA court that Rs 45 crore was sent to Goa through hawala. In fact, the ED has claimed that the money recovered in the liquor scam was used by the Aam Aadmi Party to campaign for the Goa assembly elections.

On March 22, the ED claimed to have uncovered a money trail in which a bribe of Rs 100 crore was paid to the Aam Aadmi Party in the Delhi liquor policy case. AAP used this money in Punjab and Goa assembly elections. The agency had told the court that not only a bribe of Rs 100 crore was taken in this scam, but also a commission on profits of over Rs 600 crore was taken from the bribe givers.

The agency told the court that the Aam Aadmi Party had used Rs 45 crore received from the South Group in the 2021-22 Goa election campaign. At the same time, the agency pointed to the reference and said that this money reached Goa through 4 routes.
