UGC NET 2024 admit card released; exam will be held on June 18, exam will be conducted through pen paper mode

National Testing Agency i.e. NTA has released the admit cards for UGC NET 2024 exam. This exam will be conducted on June 18.

New Delhi: National Testing Agency i.e. NTA has released the admit cards for UGC NET 2024 exam. This exam will be conducted on June 18. UGC NET exam is for PhD admissions, Junior Research Fellowship i.e. JRF and Assistant Professor posts in universities across the country. Candidates can download the admit card from ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

Exam will be in pen-paper mode
The exam will be in OMR i.e. pen-paper mode. This time the exam of 83 subjects of UGC NET will be conducted in two shifts on the same day. The first shift will run from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and the second shift will run from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Earlier the UGC NET exam was an online CBT i.e. computer based test. This change has been made so that the exam can be conducted on the same day for all subjects and all centers. Also, exams can be conducted in remote centers as well.

NTA is surrounded due to controversy in NEET exam
The National Testing Agency i.e. NTA is already surrounded by allegations regarding the NEET UG 2024 controversy. In this case, the Supreme Court has also issued a notice of two weeks to NTA. Its next hearing will be on July 8.

20 thousand students filed a petition regarding irregularities in the exam
About 20 thousand students had filed petitions in different states regarding NEET UG 2024 across the country, in which complaints of irregularities in the examination have been made.

In the petition filed against grace marks, it was said that NTA has not yet told what method they adopted to give grace marks to the students. At the same time, the provision of giving grace marks was also not mentioned in the information bulletin issued by NTA before the exam. In such a situation, it is not right to give grace marks to some candidates.
