Bhiwani: A 55-year-old man injured in a road accident involving a Haryana Roadways bus in Jui Kalan village of Bhiwani district has died during treatment at Rohtak PGI.

The deceased has been identified as Rohtash, a resident of Jui Kalan, who was the eldest among four brothers and worked as a manual laborer.

Accident Occurred on March 30

The incident took place on March 30 when Rohtash was crossing the road near the Tosham bypass. He was critically injured after being hit by a speeding roadways bus and was admitted to the ICU at Rohtak PGI, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Family Alleges Rash Driving

Anil, son of the deceased, alleged that the bus driver was driving recklessly at high speed and failed to apply brakes in time. He said his father had already crossed the white strip when the accident occurred.

The family has demanded strict action against the driver and financial assistance, citing their weak financial condition. Rohtash is survived by four children—two sons and two daughters.

Accident Captured on CCTV

The entire incident was reportedly captured on CCTV cameras, which may play a crucial role in the investigation.

Victim’s Statement Before Death

Earlier, based on Rohtash’s statement, police had registered a case. In his complaint, he stated that he was returning home on foot when a Haryana Roadways bus coming from Tosham hit him while crossing the road near a liquor shop on the bypass. He lost consciousness immediately after the collision.

Driver Fled, Probe Underway

Following the accident, the bus driver fled the scene. Police later registered a case and initiated an investigation.

ASI Ranbir Singh, the investigating officer from Jui Kalan police station, said that legal action has been initiated and further investigation is in progress.
