Election Commission of India Orders Repoll in 15 Booths of Magrahat Paschim and Diamond Harbour

New Delhi: The Election Commission (EC) has directed a repoll at 15 polling stations in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. This includes 11 booths in Magrahat Paschim assembly constituency and 4 booths in Diamond Harbour.

According to officials, the repoll will be conducted on Saturday, May 2, between 7 AM and 6 PM.

Voting at these booths had originally taken place on April 29 during the second phase of the Assembly elections. However, the EC declared the polling void under Section 58(2) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, necessitating a fresh vote.

Where Repolling Has Been Ordered

The repoll will take place at specific polling stations in Magrahat Paschim and Diamond Harbour constituencies.

Magrahat Paschim (11 Booths)

• Booth 46 – Uttar Yearpur F.P. School, Room No. 2
• Booth 126 – Najra F.P. School, Room No. 1
• Booth 127 – Najra F.P. School, Room No. 2
• Booth 128 – Deula F.P. School, Room No. 1
• Booth 142 – Ghola Noyapara Girls’ High Madrasha, Room No. 2
• Booth 214 – Ektara Malaya F.P. School, Room No. 1
• Booth 215 – Ektara Malaya F.P. School, Room No. 2
• Booth 216 – Ektara Malaya Dhora F.P. School, Room No. 1
• Booth 230 – Bahirpuya Kurkuriya F.P. School, Room No. 1
• Booth 231 – Bahirpuya Kurkuriya F.P. School, Room No. 2
• Booth 232 – Bahirpuya Kurkuriya F.P. School, Room No. 3

Diamond Harbour (4 Booths)

Repolling will be conducted at these locations as per the directions of the Election Commission.
