Jalandhar: Municipal elections have been announced in Punjab. Yesterday, i.e. on Tuesday (10 December), late at night, the Bharatiya Janata Party released the list of all the wards except 6 wards of the Jalandhar city. A total list of 79 wards has been released. In this, former MLA’s brother Rajan Angural has also been given a ticket. Also, the candidates for ward numbers 28, 34, 48, 53, 6,1 and 65 are yet to be announced.
According to the information, there are about 85 wards under Jalandhar Municipal Corporation. Nominations can be filed at 12 places for 85 wards. Municipal elections are to be held for 85 wards of Jalandhar. But on Tuesday, the second day of nomination, the potential candidates of most political parties were confused about the nomination venue. However, the administration has fixed the list of offices and places of returning officers at 12 different places in the city for nomination.
