PM Modi has wins Varanasi Lok Sabha seat. He defeated Congress state president Ajay Rai by more than 1.50 lakh votes. Modi will be an MP from here for the third consecutive time.
Union Minister and BJP leader Prahlad Joshi wins from Karnataka’s Dharwad Lok Sabha seat. He has secured this win by a margin of 97,324 votes.

Delay in updation: Abhishek Manu Singhvi
Abhishek Manu Singhvi said, “We received the report from state units and candidates that after 2:30 PM, there is a delay in the updation on ECI websites. The second complaint was that there is no updation based on the parliamentary constituency…. We haven’t put any allegation, we just asked that updates be provided. The Election Commission has listened to us. They have said they won’t let it delay any kind of updating.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading in Varanasi by 1,44,723 votes. At second place is Congress candidate Ajay Rai who has secured 4,38,901 votes.

As per the trends by Election Commission of India, BJP with win on 1 seat is leading at 237 seats. On the other hand, giving a tough fight to the ruling BJP-led NDA, the Congress party of INDIA bloc is leading at a total of 97 seats. Congress party and INDIA bloc have defied all the exit polls and are giving tough competition to BJP. It should be noted that BJP alone has not reached the majority mark of 272 seats as of now.
