Chandigarh: Punjab Government deny to accept the resignation of IAS officer Parampal Kaur BJP candidate from Bathinda. Punjab Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has also reject her voluntarily retirement from Services (VRS) application with immediate effect.
Parampal Kaur has been directed to return to her position as MD of PSIDC without delay. Despite orders from the Punjab Government, Parampal Kaur, who secured her position as a BJP candidate by obtaining approval for her VRS application from the Centre, has been instructed by the AAP government to resume her official duties immediately.
The government is about to send a letter to the Center regarding a notice period issue. The Punjab Government has made notice period the basis for retirement or relief from service. However, an order has been given by the Punjab government stating that an individual cannot be considered retired or relieved from service just on the basis of notice period. Officials of the AAP government have been accused of providing false reasons for taking VRS. They claim that they were busy in political activities.
It is noteworthy that Parampal Kaur is the daughter-in-law of Shiromani Akali Dal senior leader and former minister Sikandar Singh Maluka. In the letter sent by the government, it was stated that the employee’s three-month notice period, as per the Punjab Personnel Department, has not been waived.
