Shimla: During the ongoing assembly elections in two states, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, arrived in Shimla on Saturday. He reached Chharabra by chopper at 1:02 pm, landing on the helipad near Priyanka Gandhi’s house.
Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are already staying in Chharabra, Shimla, and today Rahul Gandhi has also arrived. Party sources suggest that he will stay for the next 1-2 days, although his official schedule has not been decided yet.
Rahul Gandhi will be monitoring the assembly elections in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir from Chharabra. It’s worth noting that Rahul Gandhi was originally scheduled to come to Shimla the previous Friday, planning to travel by road from Haryana. However, due to election-related commitments, he was unable to make it.
Sonia Gandhi arrived in Shimla on September 17th, followed by Priyanka Gandhi on September 15th. Now all three Congress leaders will be keeping a close watch on the country’s politics from Shimla.
