Kartarpur (Jalandhar) : Punjab’s Local Government Minister, Balkar Singh, congratulated Manjinder Kaur, the newly elected Senior Vice President, and Sham Sunder Pal, the Vice President of Kartarpur Municipal Council, urging them to work with full dedication and commitment for the city’s development.
Lauding the unanimous election, the minister extended congratulations to all councilors and expressed confidence that the election of the Senior Vice President and Vice President would accelerate the city’s developmental projects. He urged all officials and members to contribute collectively toward multi-dimensional developmental work under the council’s jurisdiction.
He emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is committed to the holistic development of both cities and villages, ensuring no shortage of funds for this purpose. He highlighted various pro-people initiatives, such as 600 units of free electricity, Aam Aadmi Clinics, government jobs, and Schools of Eminence.
The election was conducted under the supervision of Sub-Divisional Magistrate Jalandhar-2, Balbir Raj Singh, appointed as convener by the Deputy Commissioner of Jalandhar. Councilors and officers, including Executive Officer Randeep Singh Wraich, AME Gagandeep Singh, and sccountant Gurlal Singh, were also present.
