IRS officer Rahul Naveen is the Enforcement Directorate Boss, centre govt. appoint him for two years

New Delhi: The central government has appointed 1993 batch IRS officer Rahul Naveen as the new director of the Enforcement Directorate (ED). IRS officer Rahul Naveen’s tenure will be two years. He will replace Sanjay Kumar Mishra the present director of ED.  He was appointed acting Director after Sanjay Kumar Mishra’s tenure ended on September.

He will replace Sanjay Kumar Mishra the present director of ED.  He was appointed acting Director after Sanjay Kumar Mishra’s tenure ended on September 15, 2023. He Join the Ed as special director in the year of 2019.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has confirmed his appointment as the new Director of the Enforcement Directorate in a statement. The new ED director is considered an expert in international taxation matters. During his tenure as acting ED Director, he oversaw the high-profile arrests of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren in separate money laundering
