Aamir Khan confirms Sitaare Zameen Par Christmas release

Mumbai: Aamir Khan has announced that his much-anticipated comedy film Sitaare Zameen Par is set to release this Christmas. The film, a sequel to the 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par, will reunite Aamir with Darsheel Safary after nearly 18 years. Directed by R. S. Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, the film also stars.

Speaking during Republic Day celebrations at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat, Aamir revealed that the film’s climax was shot in Vadodara. He also reminisced about his connection with Gujarat, sharing childhood memories and noting the state’s transformation with improved infrastructure. Aamir highlighted Gujarat’s long-standing ties with cinema, culture, and art, expressing enthusiasm for filming in the region.

Initially planned for mid-2025, the release was rescheduled as the film’s production progressed. Aamir described the project as entertaining and close to his heart, further building excitement for its Christmas debut
