Mumbai: Recently, MP and actress Jaya Bachchan commented on Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’. Now the actor has given his reaction on her comment. When the media questioned Akshay on this in an event, he said- ‘Now if she has said it, then it must be right. I don’t think that I have done anything wrong by making a film like ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’. If she believes so, then it must be right.’

Let us tell you that a few days ago Jaya Bachchan had reached India TV’s conclave. There she talked about the creativity of the film industry. When she was asked about the films made to promote government and social issues in the event, she said – ‘Now you also look at the names, I would never watch such films. ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’, is this a name? Is this a title? Please tell me how many of you will go to watch a film with such a title?’
Some people raised their hands on Jaya Bachchan’s question. After which the actress said, ‘If out of so many people only four-five people want to go and watch the film, then the film is a flop.’
The film is the story of Priyanka Bharti from UP
This film of Akshay Kumar came on the big screen in the year 2017. Bhumi Pednekar was also seen in the lead role along with Akshay in this. Bhumi played the character of Priyanka Bharti from UP in this film. The film was directed by Shri Narayan Singh. This film with a budget of Rs 75 crores had a box office collection of around 300 crores worldwide. With this earning, the film proved to be a hit at the box office.
Talking about the work front, Akshay will soon be seen in ‘Kesari-2’. This film is based on the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. In this film, he has played the role of lawyer C. Shankar Nair. Ananya Pandey, R Madhavan will also be seen in lead roles with him in the film. Kesari-2 is going to be released on 18 April.
