Mumbai: Anil Kapoor recently celebrated the 36th anniversary of the film Eeshwar, which he credits with making him fearless as an actor. In an Instagram post, he reminisced about playing a 71-year-old man at the age of 31, stating that this role, which involved portraying a character aging from 25 to 75, encouraged him to embrace older roles in subsequent films like Lamhe.
He emphasized the importance of taking risks and stepping out of one’s comfort zone as an actor, expressing gratitude for the guidance of K. Vishwanath, the film’s director and a Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner. Anil fondly recalled the invaluable lessons he learned during the making of Eeshwar.
Additionally, Anil praised Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s son, for his directorial debut with the upcoming streaming show Ba*ds of Bollywood**. He shared a promo video on Instagram, likening Aryan’s style to that of the legendary director Manmohan Desai and congratulating him and his family on this exciting new venture.
Earlier, Anil also marked the 44th anniversary of Hum Paanch, a significant film in Indian cinema history, where he served as a casting director. He shared a rare photo from the film’s production and honored the team behind this classic.
