BJP national spokesperson defends Diljit Dosanjh amid recent controversy over film with Pakistani actress

Diljit Dosanjh has been surrounded by controversies for working with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in the film Sardar Ji-3.

New Delhi, June 28: Diljit Dosanjh has been surrounded by controversies for working with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in the film Sardar Ji-3. But now BJP’s national spokesperson RP Singh has come out in his support on this issue.

RP Singh said, “Diljit is not just an artist but a pride of the country and a brand ambassador of Indian culture. The demand by FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) to cancel his citizenship is not only wrong but also shocking.”

He said that the film, which has a Pakistani actress in it, was shot before the recent incidents between India and Pakistan. If anyone has an objection to the film, then the protest should be done in a peaceful manner – like boycotting the film or demanding that it not be released in India.

RP Singh raised the question that when India recently played a cricket match with Pakistan, no one objected. Pakistani guests are also invited on TV channels for TRP, so will those anchors also be asked to give up citizenship now?

He said, “Don’t misuse patriotism and FWICE should reconsider its decision. It is not right to target artists like this.”

Diljit said that when he signed the film, everything was normal

Actor Dosanjh said that when he did this film, the situation between India and Pakistan was normal. He told that the shooting of the film was completed in February, but after that many big developments happened, which were not in his hands.

He had said, “The producers have decided that the film will not be released in India, it will be released only abroad. Crores of rupees have been invested in this film and now the situation has changed. It is also true that the film will definitely incur losses because we have lost an entire market (India).”

He further said that when I signed the film, everything was normal. Now the situation is not in our control. If the producers have decided to release the film abroad, then I am with them.
