Amritsar, July 3: Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh is currently surrounded by controversies regarding the film Sardar Ji 3. Protests started on social media over the presence of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in the film and some dialogues, due to which #BoycottDiljit started trending. Many film industry leaders accused him of adopting an “anti-national” stance.
After this controversy, rumours were spread that Diljit has been dropped from the much-awaited film Border 2. But these speculations have been put to rest by Diljit Dosanjh himself. He recently shared a behind-the-scenes video from the sets of Border 2, in which he is seen in the uniform of the Indian Air Force.
Reply to opponents, still a part of the film
Through this video, Diljit made it clear that he is still a part of the film. In Border 2, he is playing the role of Flying Officer Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon, who is the only Param Vir Chakra winner of the Indian Air Force. In the video, he has also played the song from Border, Sandese Aate Hain, and his fans are liking it too.
It is worth noting that Border 2 is the sequel to JP Dutta’s classic war film Border which was released in 1997. After the controversy over Diljit’s presence, this video came as a relief for his fans.

The casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in the Punjabi film Sardaar Ji‑3 triggered massive protests on social media, especially after the April Pahalgam terror attack and its aftermath. The film’s trailer, which showed Aamir’s appearance during India’s operation “Operation Sindoor”, led to several film bodies such as FWICE and AICWA demanding action against the actors involved. Some even recommended the cancellation of Diljit’s citizenship and confiscation of his passport.
Meanwhile, Neeru Bajwa also removed the posts related to the film from social media. The producers clarified that the film was already shot in February and there are no plans to release it in India. The film was not released in India, but abroad, the film is being liked by fans and is constantly making new records.
