Bareilly, April 21: Khushboo Patani, former Indian Army Lieutenant and elder sister of Disha Patani, has garnered widespread praise for rescuing abandoned baby girl in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. On April 20, 2025, during her morning walk, Khushboo discovered the infant lying alone in a dilapidated structure near her residence. the baby appeared to be 8-12 months old, covered in dirt and visibly distressed.
Reacting swiftly, Khushboo provided immediate comfort to the child and contacted the local police for assistance. The Uttar Pradesh Police promptly arrived at the scene and ensured she received medical attention. the incident was captured in a video that has since gone viral, showcasing Khushboo’s compassionate and timely intervention.
She gently picked up the girl, neighbours began to gather as the girl continued to cry. Assuming she was hungry, the family brought her some milk, after which she calmed down. Soon, the police arrived, took the child into their custody, and took her to the district hospital for treatment. Khushboo also promptly informed the child helpline about the incident.
Later, Khushboo shared a heartfelt video on social media. Holding the little girl in her arms, she said, “This girl was found in a dilapidated structure in Bareilly. Whoever abandoned her like this, shame on such parents. I’ve named her Radha. That was the first name that came to my heart when I picked her up.”
She added, They say, ‘Jaake Rakhe saiyan maar sake na koi’, when god protects, no one can harm. In the whole neighbourhood, only my mother heard her cries. We will keep sharing updates about Radha. Our country has no shortage of people who are willing to adopt a girl child. We’ll stay in touch with the police and follow up on her well-being.”
Soon the child was reunited with her parents.
After some time Khushboo released another video in which she said- The child’s parents have been found. The father did not come to meet her. The mother is a careless person. A mentally challenged person had kidnapped her.
The real name of the girl is Inayat. Information has revealed that the woman is from Bihar. The husband is not even telling clearly whether he married her or bought her.
