New Delhi, May 19: Delhi-based social media influencer Gayatri Sharma, popularly known as The Gayu Kitchen, has recently left her fanbase puzzled and concerned after making her Instagram account private and removing several of her popular food-related YouTube Shorts.
Known for her sweet voice and the heartwarming way she showcased meals from her hostel mess, Gayatri had become a beloved figure on Social Media, especially for her signature Phrase, “Pyare Pyare Rice.”
The sudden decision on May 18, 2025, to take her account private-despite having close to 250,000 followers, sparked a wave of speculation online. Many netizens believe there may have been fallout between Gayatri and the hostel authorities where she works, though no official statement has been issued.
Her last video, posted days before the changes, showed her usual mess meal routine, offering no hint of any upcoming disruption. Her YouTube channel, which boasts over 422,000 subscribers, still features older content, but all mess-related shorts have been removed.
Fans flooded comment sections with concern, questioning whether she faced pressure from hostel management or encountered other issues.
Some pointed out that the brand promotions featured in her videos helped improve the quality of food served in the mess, benefiting resdients as well.
