Good worth Rs 4.15 lac steals from Anupam Kher’s office

On the CCTV camera, both of them are seen sitting in an auto with the goods.

Mumbai: In Anupam Kher’s Veera Desai office, there has been a theft in Mumbai. The thieves escaped with the safe box from the office’s accounts department. Not only this, the thieves also took away the negative box of a film. In CCTV footage, the thieves were seen sitting in an auto. Anupam Kher has complained to the Mumbai Police in this matter. Anupam Kher informed me about this entire matter on his social media account. He has also shared the video of the broken safe. This incident is from June 19.

Last night, two thieves broke two doors of office in Veera Desai Road office and stole the entire safe from the accounts department (which they probably could not break) and the negatives of a film produced by our company, which were in a box. Our office has filed an FIR. And the police have assured us that the thieves will be caught very soon. On the CCTV camera, both of them are seen sitting in an auto with the goods. May God give them wisdom. This video was made by my office staff before the police arrived.

A police officer told ETimes that the thieves broke the lock and stole goods worth about Rs 4.15 lakh, including cash. Anupam Kher also spoke to ETimes about this and told them that the reel that the thieves stole was in a bag. The thieves thought that there might be money in the bag. Those were the reels of the film ‘Maine Gandhi ko Kyun Mara’. Anupam Kher further said, ‘This is an old building, which has only a few CCTV cameras. In the footage I got, I saw that two thieves had committed the theft together. Amboli Police has assured me that they will trace them.’ Let us tell you, the police have started investigating the matter.
