Karachi: A video has taken social media by storm, showing Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor supposedly dancing at a rave party in Karachi, Pakistan. The clip, which quickly went viral, left many fans shocked and confused, until the truth came out.
It turns out the woman dancing at the Pakistani nightclub wasn’t Kreena at all, but rather a digitally animated avatar resembling the actress. The video shows a large screen in the club displaying the animation, mimicking Kareena’s signature style and moves.
Once viewers realized the video featured a deepfake-like animation and not the real Kareena, her fans were quick to react- and they were not happy.
Social media platforms were flooded with angry comments from Kareena’s followers. One user wrote, “Delete it before Kareena sees it,” while another called it “an insult to our icon.” A third user simply said, “Absolutely not, delete it.”
But the conversation didn’t stop there. Some users turned their attention toward Pakistan, mocking the country’s hosting of rave parties. “Do you even have money for rave parties?” one comment read. Another user joked, “I thought you only had money for cricket.”
The incident has sparked a larger debate about digital impersonation, deepfake ethics, and celebrity misuse in visual content, especially when such content is presented without context.
So far, Kareena Kapoor has not responded publicly to the viral video.
