Mumbai: Actress Parineeti Chopra on Wednesday found an interactive way to break the common myths. Taking to her Instagram stories she asked people to share some common myths about our country.
She aimed to debunk common myths about the country. Her move can be understood in a way that earlier she shared a story in which it was told how majority population of Haryana is vegetarian whereas it is assumed based on some myths that people consume meat as their staple food.
The actress, who has 44.2 million followers on Instagram, took to the Stories section for a lively interaction with her fanbase, encouraging them to share myths about India.
On this one of the follower of the actress debunked the myth about Punjab. He said, “Sardars and Punjabis don’t use Balle Balle in their conversations!”. On this Parineeti responded, “YES! And everything is not chak de phatte… Lassi is not our only beverage.”
She also shared some stories. Another user wrote: “Everyone who lives in Rajasthan carries multiple pots of water on their head through the desert.” On this, The ‘Ishaqzaade’ actress clarified, “It’s a beautiful traditional image! But Rajasthan also has commercial and modern cities.”
On the professional front, Parineeti recently portrayed Amarjot Kaur in the biographical musical drama ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film stars Diljit Dosanjh as the titular character.
