New trailer of Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Emergency’ released, changes made after CBFC recommendations

Kangana has shown that controversial aspect of history in her political drama, when former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed an Emergency in the country.

The second trailer of Bollywood actress and Mandi MP Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Emergency’ has been released. The film will be released in theaters on January 17, 2025. On the completion of 50 years of the Emergency imposed in 1975, Kangana has shown that controversial aspect of history in her political drama, when former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed an Emergency in the country.

The second trailer of the film showed the turmoil in the country after the Emergency was imposed. Kangana, who is seen in the character of Indira Gandhi, has been attacked from all sides.

In one scene, when the President questions her for taking the decision of Emergency alone, she said – ‘I am the Cabinet’. Further in the story, it is shown how war is declared in the country. Demands are being raised against Indira Gandhi from everywhere to ‘vacate the throne’. The film stars Anupam Kher in role of Jaiprakash Narayan, Shreyas Talpade in role of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.

The trailer of the film Emergency has been liked a lot by the fans. One user said that Kangana will get her next National Award with this film. Ever since Kangana’s first look from the film was revealed, fans have been excited to watch this film. Now the trailer release has increased their curiosity further.

It should be noted that after objections to this film, scenes related to Jarnail Singh Bhindranwala and Khalistan have been removed from the film.

The film will be released on January 17 after getting the green signal from the censor board about 3 months ago. Earlier this film was to be released on 6 September 2024, but it did not get clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
