Punjabi Singer Mankirt Aulakh and Family Receives Fresh Death Threats

Chandigarh: Popular Punjabi singer Mankirt Aulakh has once again found himself at the center of controversy after receiving death threats targeting both him and his family. The threats, reportedly sent via a message from a foreign number, have prompted the singer to file a formal complaint with the Punjab Police, escalating concerns about his safety.

According to sources close to the situation, the threatening message was explicit, warning Aulakh and his family of dire consequences.

The message stated,”Get ready, son, your time has come. Whether it’s your wife or your child, we don’t care — you will be eliminated. Don’t think this threat is a joke; see what happens to you.”

The singer, who is already under police security cover due to previous threats, immediately reported the incident to the authorities. However, police officials have remained tight-lipped, refusing to provide any comments or details regarding the ongoing investigation.

Multiple Death Threats

This is not the first time Aulakh has faced such threats. In 2022, following the high-profile murder of fellow Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, Aulakh received multiple death threats from the Davinder Bambiha gang, a rival of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which claimed responsibility for Moose Wala’s killing.

Requested Increased Security from Authorities

At the time, Aulakh had publicly requested increased security from the Punjab Police, citing fears for his life. The recurrence of threats has reignited concerns about the safety of prominent figures in the Punjabi music industry.

Aulakh, known for chart-topping hits like Badnaam, Vail, and 8 Raflaan, has been a prominent figure in the Punjabi music scene since his debut in 2013.

His association with controversies, including allegations of promoting gun culture in his songs and a 2014 performance at Ropar Jail where gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was incarcerated, has kept him in the public eye.

Despite these challenges, Aulakh has continued to enjoy a massive fan following, recently celebrating personal milestones such as the birth of his twin daughters.

The latest threats have sparked outrage among fans, with many taking to social media to express their concern and demand swift action from the authorities. Posts on X have highlighted the urgency of the situation, with one user stating, “Punjabi singer Mankirt Aulakh threatened again! This needs to stop. Protect our artists!” The Punjab Police’s silence on the matter has only fueled speculation and anxiety among Aulakh’s supporters.
