75% of arteries were found to be blocked without symptoms
Rakesh Roshan shared pictures from the hospital on his Instagram, saying, “This week has been an eye-opener for me. During a general health checkup, the doctor recommended a sonography of the throat while doing a cardiac sonography. During this, it was found that both the carotid arteries that supply blood to the brain were blocked by more than 75%. This was happening without any symptoms. If it had gone unnoticed, the consequences could have been serious.”
He wrote, “I immediately got admitted to the hospital and got the necessary preventive procedures done. Now I am home and hope to resume my workout routine soon. This experience shows that heart and brain-related tests, such as heart CT scan and carotid artery sonography, should be done by everyone after the age of 45-50.”
