Shehnaaz Gill has officially begun shooting for her new Punjabi film, marking what she describes as a “new journey.” The actress and social media star shared the news on Instagram, posting a photo of herself with the film’s clapboard, along with a picture of her “dream team” performing a puja on set before filming commenced.
The film, which remains untitled, is directed by Amarjit Saron, known for his works like “Honsla Rakh” and “Saunkan Saunkne.” In her post, Shehnaaz expressed her pride and happiness about starting this project.
Recently, Shehnaaz appeared in a modern rendition of the song ‘Sajna Ve Sajna’ from the film ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video,’ which originally featured in the 2003 movie “Chameli.” The new version stars Shehnaaz alongside Rajkummar Rao and is sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, who performed the original, along with Divya Kumar.
Shehnaaz gained fame through her participation in “Bigg Boss 13,” where her chemistry with the late Sidharth Shukla captured a lot of attention, leading fans to affectionately refer to them as “SidNaaz.” She started her modeling career in 2015 with the music video ‘Shiv Di Kitaab’ and made her Punjabi film debut in 2017 with ‘Sat Shri Akaal England.’
Her filmography includes titles such as ‘Kala Shah Kala,’ ‘Daaka,’ ‘Honsla Rakh,’ ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan,’ and ‘Thank You for Coming.’ She has also featured in numerous music videos, including ‘Maar Kar Gayi,’ ‘Pindaan Diyaan Kudiyaan,’ and ‘Habit,’ with more projects like ‘Sab First Class’ on the way.
