Tahira Kashyap’s directorial debut ‘Sharmaji Ki Beti’ released on Amazon Prime; tale of ‘Women Empowerment’ with new twist

Under the direction of Tahira Kashyap, the film ‘Sharmaji ki beti’ has been streamed today, i.e., June 28, on Amazon Prime Video. The movie enlightens women about empowerment and the challenges they face. The duration of the film is 1 hour, 55 minutes.

The movie begins with Swati Sharma (Vanshika Taparia), who is the daughter of Jyoti Sharma (Sakshi Tanwar). Jyoti Sharma, for whom time and money are both immensely valuable, is jumbled in her middle-class life. She believes that time and money, if once gone, will never come back.

On the other hand, Kiran Sharma (Divya Dutta), who hails from Patiala, has shifted to Mumbai with her husband and daughter, Gurveen Sharma (Arista Mehta). They dream of London, but their destiny does not allow them to do so. Tanvi Sharma (Saiyami Kher) has come from Vadodra to play for Team Mumbai. She’s just alive to win and eat in her life. The whole story of the film revolves around these ladies in the movie. Her husband, Sudhir (Sharib Hashmi), does household chores and works a night shift after Jyoti goes. After fighting against the challenges of life, the story of these ladies twists in an interesting way.

Some emotional scenes between mother and daughter will stick the viewers’ eye on the screen. Overall, after a slow scene, the climax will satisfy the viewers.

‘Sharmaji ki beti’ is based on women’s empowerment. The director has tried to present the movie in a new way as compared to the previous one.
