Telangana Govt issues notice to Diljit Dosanjh ahead of concert; issues guidelines on songs choice, use of children on stage

The Telangana government has issued a notice to Diljit Dosanjh, his team and Hyderabad's Hotel Novotel regarding the songs to be played in the concert.

Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh is in the news these days for his Dil-Luminati tour. He has a concert in Hyderabad tomorrow i.e. Friday (15 November). Ahead of the show, The Telangana government has issued a notice to Diljit Dosanjh, his team and Hyderabad’s Hotel Novotel regarding the songs to be played in the concert.

In the notice issued by the District Welfare Officer of Telangana, the singer has been asked not to sing songs like ‘Patiala Peg’ and ‘Panj Tara Theke’ during live shows. This notice has been issued by the Welfare of Women and Child and Senior Citizen Department.

Let us tell you that Chandigarh resident Panditrao Dharanwar had filed a complaint in this regard on November 4. It was said that children should not be brought on stage, because the frequency of noise during live shows is more than 122 dB which is extremely harmful for children. Prolonged exposure of such loud noise can be harmful for children.

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has already issued instructions that songs promoting alcohol, drugs, and gun culture should not be sung during live shows.
