He was also seen in Manoj Vajpayee’s web series ‘Family Man’ season 2.

Recently released ‘Munjya’ is rocking at the box office. It has earned Rs. 110.70 crore within 20 days. The direction and story of the film are on the discussion list everywhere, but lead actor Abhay Verma is highly trending on the discussion list.

It is Abhay’s first movie in which he played the lead character. He was also seen in Manoj Vajpayee’s web series ‘Family Man’ season 2. In the beginning of his career, he was seen in a movie directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

However, the journey was not easy for him. Abhay said that there was a time when he had to sell his home due to a financial crisis. When his father was ill, his mother fulfilled the responsibilities. There was no money in the house to complete the study, but the parents took out a loan to do so.

“I lost my father when I was in 9th grade. I didn’t even have a chance to tell my father about my dream of acting. For three years, he was in bed. I was not able to tell him. After my father’s death, my mother did everything for us. When she got to know about my dream, she supported me wholeheartedly”, Abhay said in an interview.

About his auditions and rejections, he said, “Before the first break, I had to face a lot of rejections. Daily, I used to take 4-5 types of clothes with me and go to Aram Nagar in Mumbai. Wandering from morning till night, I gave auditions and returned home with a tag of NOT FIT. Then my brother told me that ‘this field works like this only. You give auditions and then forget it; don’t wait for the result’. Following his advice, I continued. After one and a half years, I was selected for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movie ‘Mann Bairagi’, in which I played the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

On Munjya he said, “According to the script, an actress was to be selected. For this, Alia Bhatt was finalized, but afterward I got selected. I am the first actor to replace an actress. One day during the shoot, I was injured, and my spine got fractured. I thought that I would sleep on a mattress, but I had to sleep on the floor. However, the injury helped me a lot. Due to the injury, there was always pain in the body, and I was not able to sleep, which resulted in a natural expression on the face.”
