‘The Waking of a Nation’ trailer sets stage for taut drama surrounding dark chapter of Indian history

Mumbai: The trailer for the anticipated streaming series ‘The Waking of a Nation’ was released on Monday. This historical-fiction drama draws inspiration from real events related to one of the most significant moments in India’s fight for independence—the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. The series explores the underlying tensions and factors that led to this tragic chapter.

Mumbai: The trailer for the anticipated streaming series ‘The Waking of a Nation’ was released on Monday. This historical-fiction drama draws inspiration from real events related to one of the most significant moments in India’s fight for independence—the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre.

The series explores the underlying tensions and factors that led to this tragic chapter in history, focusing on Kantilal Sahni, who uncovers a conspiracy linked to colonialism and white supremacy. It reinterprets historical events through the lens of the Hunter Commission’s investigation.

Starring Taaruk Raina, Nikita Dutta, Sahil Mehta, and Bhawsheel Singh Sahni, the series is helmed by creator, director, and co-producer Ram Madhvani, who expressed his enthusiasm, describing the project as one of his most cherished works.
