Vidya Balan is garnering acclaim for her captivating dance in the song “Ami Je Tomar 3.0” from the film “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3,” where she performs alongside the renowned Madhuri Dixit. The track features an impressive dance-off between the two actresses, making it a feast for dance lovers.
In a conversation with ANI, Vidya recounted her reaction when director Anees Bazmee suggested a dance face-off with Madhuri. She mentioned, “When I was offered this film, I already knew we would recreate ‘Ami Je Tomar.’ Anees and Bhushan were trying to find ways to enhance the scene, and once Madhuri Ji agreed to be part of the film, the idea of a face-off came up. Initially, I felt overwhelmed and wondered how I could compete with her, but I eventually embraced the challenge, worked hard, and enjoyed the process. This was a significant opportunity for me. Madhuri was very kind, understanding that anyone would feel nervous in front of her. I tried my best to hide my nerves, and I think the song turned out beautifully.”
Kartik Aaryan, reviewing their performance, expressed his admiration, saying, “I’m a fan. If Vidya hadn’t agreed to do this, I would have gone to her house to convince her. This was such a significant opportunity, an iconic moment for both her and us. It’s not just a big deal for Vidya, but it’s a memorable experience for everyone involved.”
He also praised Vidya’s hard work, stating, “What she accomplished, especially dancing alongside Madhuri, is no small feat. It’s incredibly challenging, and their performance was nothing short of unreal and breathtaking. I felt like a fanboy watching them both dance together; it was truly beautiful.”
During promotional events, Kartik and Vidya shared light-hearted moments, including a playful re-creation of a scene where Vidya playfully grabs Kartik, leaving him in fits of laughter.
The song “Ami Je Tomar 3.0,” featuring vocals by Shreya Ghoshal and lyrics by Sameer, has been revamped by Amaal Mallik, with choreography by Chinni Prakash that seamlessly blends classical dance styles. “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3,” directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Bhushan Kumar, continues the legacy of its predecessors by merging horror with comedy. The film also stars Triptii Dimri and is one of the most anticipated releases for Diwali.
Set to premiere in theaters on November 1, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” will face stiff competition from Rohit Shetty’s “Singham Again,” making it an exciting showdown at the box office, as both films are generating significant hype. The production is backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Murad Khetani.
