Patna: As the campaign for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections heats up, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s emotional connection with the people of Bihar, saying that the bond between the two is “deep and heartfelt.”

‘PM Modi Has Bihar in His Heart’

Fadnavis, who is in the state to campaign for National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidates, said that PM Modi shares a special relationship with Bihar.

“PM Modi has a special emotional connection with Bihar. He has Bihar in his heart, and the people of Bihar have him in theirs. This relationship is very deep,” Fadnavis told reporters ahead of the Prime Minister’s two rallies and roadshow in the state.

He added that the people of Bihar would give the Prime Minister a “rousing reception” during his visit.

NDA Leaders Praise Modi’s Popularity

Other NDA leaders also highlighted PM Modi’s influence on the electorate.
Union Minister Chirag Paswan said, “PM Modi’s visit always brightens the prospects of the NDA. His presence boosts enthusiasm and strengthens people’s confidence.”

He further said that the combination of Nitish Kumar’s leadership in Bihar and PM Modi’s governance at the Centre has accelerated the state’s development. “The next five years will be a golden period for Bihar,” Paswan added.

Excitement in Nawada Ahead of PM’s Rally

Ahead of PM Modi’s visit, Nawada witnessed a surge of enthusiasm, with preparations in full swing.

BJP MP Vivek Thakur said that people from across the region were eager to attend the Prime Minister’s rally.

“There are no caste or community barriers. The stage may be small, but the crowd is huge,” he remarked.

Security Tightened for PM’s Visit

A multi-layered security arrangement has been put in place in Nawada, with state police and central forces deployed to ensure smooth conduct of the rally.

The first phase of polling for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections will be held on November 6.
