Failed Attempt to Terrorize Punjab

It is an old method of terrorists that if they want to establish their presence in any state, they threaten to blow up sensitive places with bombs and if they want to show something, then they use sleeper cells to detonate bombs at crowded places. These blasts are carried out secretly and the criminals get an easy opportunity to escape, hence they succeed in playing the game of terror. For some time now, terrorist elements have been creating sensation by threatening to bomb schools, court complexes and other important places in different cities of Punjab. Now, going a step further, they secretly carried out IED blasts in Jalandhar and Amritsar on Tuesday night. The places chosen were BSF Headquarters. In Jalandhar, a terrorist placed a bomb wrapped in a plastic bag near a scooter parked in front of the BSF headquarters and fled on foot towards the bus station. Moments later, the bomb exploded, and the young man managed to escape. The Chief Minister was scheduled to visit Jalandhar on Wednesday, so this attempt was made to create a sensation. Thankfully, no one was injured. A similar explosion occurred in Amritsar around 11 p.m. outside gates 5 and 6 of the BSF headquarters. Agencies are investigating. The Jalandhar blast occurred a short distance from the site where buses for the Ludhiana route stop, so thankfully, there was no loss of life or property. During the insurgency era, bombs were placed in cars or scooters and detonated in crowded areas. The same old method is being adopted. In Punjab, about 16 such incidents have taken place in the last two years. Apart from this, terrorists in neighboring states also adopt similar methods. Punjab Chief Minister also expressed the possibility of a political conspiracy behind this blast because the opposition parties may try to create sensation in view of the elections next year. State Police Chief Gaurav Yadav has linked the bomb blasts to Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. An unknown Khalistan Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the bomb blasts but Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav completely rejected it and said that there is no group named Khalistan Liberation Army, these are the tactics of Pakistani ISI. Regardless of the reason, the blasts in front of BSF headquarters in two different cities on the same evening are a deliberate conspiracy. It is well known that terrorism and its various forms have evolved into an international business and task in Punjab and other border areas. Their goal is to terrorize the general public and disrupt daily life. We believe that terrorism has become a lucrative business these days, with its reach extending beyond the border, making it difficult to prevent such clandestine incidents. It is also true that if we are committed to investigating the sources of such incidents and apprehending and immediately punishing the terrorists behind them, then such terrorist incidents can be curbed. We also believe the general public has some responsibility. If anyone notices any suspicious activity, they should immediately inform the police. If the public and the administration stand together to combat terrorism, there is no reason for this antisocial terrorism to continue. It is also unfortunate that such terrorist incidents occur so easily because some of our country’s misguided traitors appear to be colluding with these terrorist elements, destroying the nation’s peace
