India-Pakistan Set for Super Four Showdown in Asia Cup 2025

New Delhi: India and Pakistan are set for their second clash in the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four stage on Sunday at the Dubai International Stadium, with the match beginning at 8.00 p.m. (India time).

This will be India’s first outing in the Super Four stage, and anticipation is at fever pitch across both nations.

    Backdrop: Clash Amid Tensions
The highly-anticipated encounter comes in the shadow of the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, orchestrated by Pakistan-backed terrorists, which claimed 26 lives.

This adds further intensity to an already fierce rivalry.

    Fans Confident of India’s Win
Across the country, Indian cricket fans expressed unshaken belief that the Men in Blue will once again dominate their arch-rivals.

One supporter told IANS, “India always performs better against Pakistan, and it will do so this time as well. We have great players like Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya.”

Another declared, “This match is one-sided. India will definitely win.”

Echoing the same confidence, a cricket follower said, “Pakistan will not be able to defeat India; its bowling attack is weak and degraded. On the other hand, we have Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma, and other top performers.”

    Concerns Over Playing Pakistan
While the excitement is palpable, some fans still feel the match should not have been played.

A supporter said, “A rift has formed between us and Pakistan that can never be bridged. The fact that we are playing itself is significant. But since the match is happening, India must win.”

    Faith and Prayers for Victory
The fervour has extended beyond stadiums into spiritual spaces. At Varanasi’s Assi Ghat, people performed Ganga Aarti, seeking divine blessings for India’s triumph.

“We prayed with all our hearts that our team wins. Pakistan stands no chance against our players,” said a devotee.

    Countdown to the Big Clash
As the countdown narrows, the confidence among fans remains unshaken: Pakistan is seen as weaker, while India’s form and talent inspire hope of yet another victory in cricket’s most intense rivalry.
