Farmers and Arhtiyas oppose making biometrics mandatory for selling crops

The new biometric system implemented by the government for crop sales can cause significant trouble for farmers. There is increasing anger among the arhtiyas and farmers against this new decision. Both sides have appealed to the government to withdraw this decision immediately; otherwise, there will be a large-scale struggle.

Surinder Kumar, former president of the arhtiya association, said that the biometric system implemented for selling food grains in the mandis will prove to be a headache for the farmers. He said that the farmers are already facing many difficulties, and on top of this, these new conditions from the government are adding to their troubles.

Surinder Kumar warned that if the government does not withdraw this decision immediately, the arhtiyas and farmers will protest on a large scale, and the struggle will be intensified. He said that instead of making the process of selling crops in the mandis easier, the government is creating new problems.

Farmers also opposed this move by the government and said that agriculture is already in crisis. Expenses are increasing, crop prices are low, and on top of that, the government’s imposition of new rules is increasing the burden on them. They demanded that instead of providing relief to the farmers, the steps that are increasing the problems should be withdrawn immediately.

The Aarthi Association and the farmers have clearly said that if the biometric system is implemented, they will never accept it, and the struggle will continue on a larger scale.
