Mumbai: Renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra’s mother, Garima Oberoi passed away at her residence in Mumbai on Thursday, sources said.

The exact cause of death has not been officially disclosed so far.

Family members and close relatives were present at the residence during her final moments. The news has left the entire fashion industry mourning.

Notably, Manish Malhotra often described his mother as his strength and inspiration, is a significant figure in his life whom he lived with and celebrated, particularly sharing their close bond during occasions like Mother’s Day and Bhai Dooj. She supported his early interest in fashion and movies.
