Fatehgarh Sahib: Two Anganwadi Workers Faint While Filling Forms for ‘Maa-Beti Samman Yojana’ Amid App Glitches

Fatehgarh: Two Anganwadi workers fainted while filling out online forms for the Punjab government’s “Maa-Beti Samman Yojana” in Fatehgarh Sahib. The incident occurred in Sirhind. The workers have been identified as Aarti and Gurmeet Kaur. They were immediately admitted to Civil Hospital, Fatehgarh Sahib, where they are undergoing treatment.

Workers Hospitalised After Fainting Incident

Following this incident, discontent has been felt among Anganwadi workers. Upon receiving the information, Harjeet Kaur Panjola, state president of the Anganwadi Employees Union, rushed to the hospital to inquire about the workers’ well-being. She accused the Punjab government of not having adequate technical arrangements in place to implement the scheme.

Panjola pointed out that Anganwadi workers in Ghanaur and Nawanshahr have faced similar problems in the past. He said the government is not taking the problems of grassroots workers seriously. He warned that if this situation continues, it will affect the morale of the workers and negatively impact the implementation of the schemes.

The union demanded that the government immediately resolve the technical issues plaguing the scheme’s website and app so that workers can continue their work without stress. They warned that if a solution is not found soon, the union will be forced to launch a statewide agitation, for which the government will be fully responsible.
