Ferozepur Restaurant Catches Fire; Dense Smoke Visible Across Area, Firefighters Struggle to Contain Blaze

Ferozepur: A fire broke out on Wednesday at a restaurant located in the Cantonment area of ​​Ferozepur. As smoke began billowing from the restaurant and spreading across the sky, locals from the vicinity gathered at the scene, causing a commotion in the area. Upon receiving information about the incident, fire brigade teams rushed to the spot and immediately began efforts to extinguish the blaze.

Currently, three fire tenders from the department are engaged in bringing the fire under control; however, given the severity of the situation, additional fire tenders are also being summoned. Relief operations at the scene are facing difficulties. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.

According to reports, the fire suddenly erupted at the Navodayam Restaurant, situated in the Cantonment area of ​​Ferozepur. Eyewitnesses stated that the fire originated within the interior of the restaurant, causing damage to furniture and other fixtures. The estimated loss resulting from this incident runs into lakhs of rupees. However, thanks to timely intervention, there have been no reports of any casualties.

Upon receiving news of the incident, the administration dispatched fire brigade teams to the site. Efforts to extinguish the fire using three fire tenders have been underway; however, the blaze has not yet been brought completely under control. It is reported that relief operations are being hampered by the lack of a direct access route to the upper floors of the restaurant. Consequently, firefighters are currently working to extinguish the fire by utilizing ladders from the exterior of the building.
