Nicosia: A ferry carrying approximately 270 passengers and crew capsized off the coast of Northern Cyprus on Sunday, prompting a massive search and rescue operation.

According to reports, the ferry departed from Kyrenia port for Taşucu, Turkey. The ferry capsized about 2 kilometers from the port. Local authorities and rescue agencies were immediately activated.
