Final Result List LS Polls 2024: With 240 seats, BJP falls short of majority

New Delhi: Results have been declared on all 542 seats of the Lok Sabha. After many rounds of counting, the BJP settled down at 240 seats. In comparison to past elections of 2019 and 2014, BJP couldn’t cross the majority mark and after dominating the politics of the country on its own, BJP in its third term has to rely on the partners of the alliance NDA. In 2014 and 2019, BJP crossed the majority mark and secured 282 and 303 seats respectively.

Talking about the congress, the party which ruled the country for nearly 70 years showed signs of revival. From winning 52 seats in 2019 elections to securing 99 in 2024, the Congress party has found its way.
