Fire breaks out in hotel in Kasol, shops in Banuti reduced to ashes

A sudden fire broke out in a hotel in Kasol, Manikaran, Himachal Pradesh, on the night of Diwali, causing panic among tourists and locals. Flames erupted on the upper floor of the hotel. As news of the fire spread, panic gripped the area, with people fleeing and screaming. The fire originated on the upper floor of the hotel. A thick plume of smoke spread, reducing visibility. Residents immediately alerted the fire department.

A team from the Kullu District Fire Service immediately arrived at the scene and began extinguishing the fire. Firefighters used water cannons and foam, but their arrival was delayed due to the mountainous terrain. The sudden fire quickly engulfed the upper floor of the hotel. The fire was so intense that it destroyed the family suite, a hall, two store rooms, and other valuables on the upper floor.

However, it is a matter of relief that there were no casualties in the incident. Several tourists were present in the hotel during the fire and were safely evacuated. During this time, some people’s belongings were destroyed in the fire.

Shops Burned in Shimla’s Banuti Area
On Diwali night, three shops in Banuti, Shimla Rural, were reduced to ashes. The damage is estimated at around 20 lakh rupees. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Upon receiving information about the incident at around 3:30 am, three vehicles from the Baluganj Fire Station and a rescue team of about 15 members arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. Fire Officer Gopal stated that the building where the fire broke out is believed to be Moti Lal’s.

Fire in Electrical Shop in Salooni, Loss of Lakhs
A fire broke out in an electrical shop in Salooni on Monday night, causing losses worth lakhs. A short circuit is suspected. Neighbors saw smoke and alerted the shop owner. The shop belonged to Arun Sharda of Karer Panchayat. Additionally, the adjacent clothing store and jeweler’s shop also suffered partial damage.
