Fire Breaks Out at Scrap Warehouse in Jalandhar; Short Circuit Suspected

Jalandhar: A fire broke out due to a short circuit at a scrap warehouse located in Guru Diwan Nagar, within the Garha area of ​​Jalandhar. The incident caused panic and chaos in the surrounding localities.

Smoke from the fire was visible from a considerable distance. Upon receiving the information, fire brigade teams rushed to the scene and began operations to bring the fire under control.

Warehouse Located in a Residential Area

Local residents stated that the warehouse is situated within a residential zone. They revealed that they had previously lodged complaints with the Municipal Corporation on multiple occasions, requesting its removal.

According to the residents, they faced difficulties due to the foul odor emanating from the warehouse and respiratory issues; however, no action was ever taken regarding their complaints.

Fire Brigade Working to Bring Fire Under Control

Residents in the vicinity initially attempted to extinguish the fire themselves, but it spread rapidly. Subsequently, they alerted the fire brigade. Fire brigade teams are currently continuing their efforts to bring the blaze under control.
