Firing at Jalandhar Eastwood after minor altercation, Bouncer injured

Panic gripped Phagwara late Tuesday evening when, following a minor altercation, some youths opened fire on a young man in Eastwood Village. The bullet struck the young man in the thigh, seriously injuring him.

According to reports, some young men were causing a commotion in Eastwood Village late evening. A security bouncer tried to stop them, prompting the youths to engage in a scuffle. The altercation escalated to the point where one of the young men pulled out a pistol and opened fire.

The young man fled the scene after the incident.

The young man injured by the gunshot has been identified as Sandeep. He is a resident of Phagwara and was immediately admitted to Jal Hospital for treatment, where doctors confirmed the bullet had grazed his thigh. Right now, his condition is said to be stable. According to eyewitnesses, the accused, Sukha, a resident of Talhan, fled the scene with his companions.

Upon receiving information about the incident, police from the Sadar Police Station, Phagwara, arrived at the scene and began an investigation. Police also recovered a cartridge casing from the scene. Footage from CCTV cameras in the area is being examined to identify the accused. Police have stated that they will be arrested soon.
