Five killed in road accident, mother and son cremated on same pyre

Pali: A horrific road accident in Rajasthan’s Pali district has plunged the entire village into mourning. Five members of the same family died in the accident. On Sunday, when five coffins emerged from the same house, the atmosphere became somber. The village was stunned by the loss of members from four generations.

Van overturns on highway while returning from wedding

The family originally hailed from Bhavnagar (Guda Endla) village in Pali district and currently lived in Ahmedabad. Ramlal Kumawat had come to Pali to attend his nephew’s wedding.

After the Bandoli ceremony on the night of February 20th, the family left for Ahmedabad in a van. On the morning of February 21st, their van collided with a divider and overturned near Unao village on the Unjha-Mehsana highway in Gujarat.

Four generations dead, six injured

Ramlal Kumawat (50), his daughter Komal (30), son Kailash (25), mother Mathura Devi (70), and three-year-old grandson Ayush died in the accident. Six others were injured and are being treated at a hospital in Gujarat.

Four generations of the same family lost their lives in this accident.

Mother and son buried on the same pyre

The last rites were performed in the village on Sunday. Komal and her three-year-old son Ayush were cremated on the same pyre. Ramlal, his son Kailash, and mother Mathura Devi were cremated together on another pyre.

When five coffins passed through the village streets together, every eye became moist.
