Fog’s Fury in Haryana: Three vehicles collide, four people seriously injured

A road accident occurred on the Vyaspur-Sadhaura road on Tuesday morning due to dense fog. Four people, including two female students, were seriously injured in a collision involving a dump truck, a private bus, and a tractor-trailer loaded with sugarcane near the LBS educational institution. The accident caused a long traffic jam on both sides of the road for about an hour.

Dense fog and negligence caused the accident

According to reports, dense fog covered the area around 8:30 AM on Tuesday. Due to extremely low visibility, vehicles were moving slowly with their lights on. At that time, a private bus coming from Sadhaura stopped on the side of the road near the LBS educational institution to drop off students. Karnail and Karmbir, who were riding bicycles behind the bus, also stopped. The driver of a tractor-trailer loaded with sugarcane, seeing the bus stopped, also pulled over.

Speeding dump collides with tractor tractor-trailer 

A few minutes later, the tractor-trailer pulled onto the road, attempting to overtake the bus. At that moment, a speeding dump truck coming from behind collided violently with the tractor-trailer. The collision was so severe that it sounded like an explosion, and the dump truck dragged the tractor-trailer for some distance. The tractor driver, however, narrowly escaped serious injury.

The injured were taken to the community health center

Hearing the sound of the accident, the staff and students of the educational institution, along with local residents, rushed out. Passengers on the bus panicked and started shouting. Two female students, Kajal and another, who were getting off the bus, and the two cyclists, Karmbir and Karnail, were caught in the collision. All the injured were immediately taken to the community health center by ambulance.

Karnail was given first aid and sent home, while Karmbir, whose condition was serious, was referred to the trauma center in Yamunanagar. The two female students have been admitted to a private hospital for treatment.

The accident caused long queues of vehicles on the road. Upon receiving the information, Station House Officer Kuldeep Singh arrived at the scene with his police force and inspected the site. After considerable effort, the damaged vehicles were removed, and the traffic jam was cleared.
