Washington: Former Miss Switzerland Beatrice Keul has accused US President Donald Trump of rape. According to a report prepared by the Democratic Party, model Beatrice Keul alleged that Trump sexually assaulted her in November 1993 and has now also claimed rape during the same incident.
The report, prepared by Democratic members of the Judiciary Committee of the US House of Representatives, also mentions an investigation into Trump’s alleged ties to Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of sex trafficking of minors.
However, the White House has denied the allegations made in the report. A White House spokesperson described it as an attempt to distract attention from President Trump’s achievements, saying that Democrats are doing this to counter the Republican Party’s growing political momentum.
What did the report say?
The 53-page report resurfaces previous allegations of sexual misconduct against Trump. According to the report, Beatrice Keul claimed during a conversation with Democratic members that Trump allegedly brutally raped her in 1993.
According to Keul, the incident occurred in a room at Trump’s Plaza Hotel in Atlantic City. She alleged that after spending time with Trump and Epstein, she was invited to the hotel room where the alleged incident occurred.
According to the report, Keul first met Trump when she was 24 years old. This meeting occurred during a beauty pageant held at the Plaza Hotel in New York, which was owned by Trump at the time.
According to a report published in The Telegraph, Trump allegedly promised to help Keul obtain a visa and enroll in New York University (NYU).
According to Keul, Trump told her, “I’ll take care of you.” After Trump briefly stepped away from the conversation, Epstein approached him. He introduced himself as a close friend of Trump and invited him to a party at Mar-a-Lago.
The report alleges that a Trump representative later summoned Keul to meet her upstairs at the Plaza Hotel. According to Keul, upon arriving at the room, Trump grabbed her from behind and forcibly raped her. The report claims that her dress was torn, and she suffered injuries and bleeding on several parts of her body.
According to the report, Keul described the alleged incident as extremely brutal. She alleged that after the incident, Trump sat her down on the edge of the bed and reiterated his promise of a visa and admission to NYU. He also asked Keul to keep the matter confidential.
The report quotes Keul as saying that Trump told her, “The show must go on.”
Questions about Trump’s relationship with Epstein
Donald Trump has long maintained that he ended his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein long before any suspicions arose about his alleged criminal conduct.
According to reports, Trump resisted the release of the so-called “Epstein Files” by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) for several months. However, he later signed legislation passed by Congress mandating the release of these documents.
The report claims that Trump’s name appears several times in these documents. However, Trump has denied any wrongdoing. He has not been charged with any criminal offenses related to the Epstein case.
Jeffrey Epstein died in federal custody in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges related to the sex trafficking of minors. Authorities ruled his death a suicide.
Democrats Demand Independent Investigation
Democratic members of the House Judiciary Committee said that Keul’s allegations align with other previously publicly made allegations of sexual assault against Trump. They claim these allegations point to a pattern of alleged behavior during Trump’s friendship with Epstein.
Jamie Raskin, the top Democratic member on the committee, accused the Justice Department of concealing crimes to protect the president.
“Five women have directly accused Trump of rape or sexual assault, either in Epstein’s presence or with him,” Raskin said.
Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee have called on U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanco to appoint an independent special counsel to investigate Trump and Epstein’s relationship.
They say the Justice Department and FBI should be independently investigated for alleged attempts to protect Trump rather than ensure justice. They demanded that the investigation not be limited to the president but also examine the roles of Epstein’s potential associates and others involved in the conspiracy.
However, Democratic members expressed concern that the Justice Department, led by Trump’s former personal attorney, Todd Blanchette, would not take even such minimal action.
In the report, Democrats accused the Justice Department of protecting the president rather than investigating cases related to Epstein’s sex trafficking network.
