Four arrested in firing case at Rohit Shetty’s house by Bahadurgarh STF and Mumbai Police

The Special Task Force (STF) unit, Bahadurgarh, conducted a joint operation with the Mumbai Police and arrested four accused in the extortion and firing case at the home of film producer Rohit Shetty. The arrested accused have been identified as Hrithik Yadav, a resident of Bahabijauli, District Agra, Deepak, a resident of Sector 45, Sadarpur, Noida, Sunny, a resident of Bahabijauli, Agra, and Sonu, a resident of Bahabijauli, Agra.

According to the police, this case relates to case number 19/2026 registered at the DCB CID, Mumbai, under sections 109 of the Indian Penal Code, 37(1), 37(2) of the Indian Penal Code, and sections of the Arms Act. A mobile phone and a motorcycle have been recovered from the accused. Investigations have revealed that on the night of January 31, 2026, the accused opened fire at the home of the film producer at the behest of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang for extortion. Following this incident, the Mumbai Police’s Anti-Extortion Cell registered a case and initiated an investigation.

Following the joint operation, the arrested accused have been handed over to the team of Inspector Sunil Pawar, in-charge of the Mumbai Police’s Anti-Extortion Cell, for further investigation. Police are interrogating the accused and searching for other gang members and those involved in the conspiracy.

Inspector Rakesh Kumar, in charge of the Bahadurgarh STF, stated that this action will help curb extortion and gang-related crimes. According to the police, one case each has been registered against the arrested accused, Hrithik Yadav, Deepak, Sunny, and Sonu. FIR No. 19/2026 has been filed against them under Section 109 of the Indian Penal Code, Sections 37(1), 37(2) of the Indian Penal Code, and Sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act.

This case has been registered with the DCB CID, Mumbai. Police say that if involvement in other criminal cases emerges during the investigation, separate cases will be filed. Currently, all four accused have been handed over to the Mumbai Police’s Anti-Extortion Cell for further investigation.
