Jaipur: A tragic road accident on NH-52 in Chomu, Jaipur, claimed four lives and left three others critically injured when a speeding Thar vehicle collided with three motorcycles early Wednesday morning.
The victims were returning from a pilgrimage to the Khatushyam temple in Sikar district.
Accident Details
According to Chomu Police Station in charge, Pradeep Sharma, the incident occurred around 3 a.m. near the Rampura culvert.
“A Thar moving at high speed lost control and rammed into three bikes travelling ahead of it. One person died on the spot, while six others sustained serious injuries,” he said.
The collision was so severe that the motorcycles were completely crushed under the Thar. Local residents rushed to the scene and alerted the authorities.
Casualties and Injuries
The injured were first taken to Chomu Government Hospital and later referred to SMS Hospital, Jaipur for specialized treatment. Unfortunately, three of the injured, including a woman, died en route, bringing the total fatalities to four.
All seven victims were members of the same family from Nangal Jaisa Bohra in the Kardhani police station area.

Shweta Srivastava (26) – wife of Lucky Srivastava, Brajwadi Colony, Jaipur
Injured (under critical care at SMS Hospital):
Avinash (30) – son of Vijay Bahadur, Vaidyaji Ka Chowraha, Jaipur
Raunak (3) – son of Avinash
Sangeeta – wife of Virendra Srivastava, Vaidyaji Ka Chowraha, Jaipur
Investigation
Police have seized the Thar vehicle and launched an investigation. Preliminary reports suggest the crash was likely caused by overspeeding and reckless driving.
Authorities are examining the scene to determine any additional factors contributing to the accident.
